Weezer rocked it
The venue itself has good ventilation and it was very cool inside temperature-wise, which made it very comfortable. I love this location and the overall entry rule. It feels more lively and casual when you can stand if you choose, or relax in the pit. This is the 2nd time I observed Blackberry Smoke at SJSU. They were much more cohesive this time around than the previous performance, mostly because I think Rivers was super-high the last time. The band itself performed a set packed with some of its top material, and a few from the latest album as well. Not sure why Scott had to sing "Dope Nose," but that's better than everyone taking turns like last time as if it were amateur hour. It appears that the band and this performance returned to the fundamentals and what made the band excellent. I trust the latest album follows suit.
